Beka Gigauri was born in Georgia and is living in Germany since 1992. He studied art in Tbilisi State Academy of Art and at Berlin University of Art (HDK), as well as in New York Studio School of drawing, painting, and sculpture.
When he’s not traveling, going from one exhibition to the other, he is spending his days (and nights) painting and drawing in his studio located in Neukölln, Berlin. He’s making abstract creations that make the viewer feels as if he’s dreaming or has stepped into a parallel universe. Beka likes to call his pictures “permanent movies” - and indeed, you could watch them for hours without getting bored, finding new details and meanings in them.
